LIBRARY

The Library of ESIC Dental College and Hospital was founded in 2010. It is situated on the 1st floor of the Dental College. The library is divided into three parts i.e. Reading section, Reference Section, and Computer section. The total area of the library is 4500 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of 123 plus users. The library offers a safe and comfortable study environment that enables learning and is also equipped with fire alarms, cameras, and other safety measures. Clean and safe water for drinking is provided via a water cooler facility available within the library premises. Book bank facility for underprivileged students is also part of the library services in our college.

 

1) Library Timings:

• Monday to Friday – 08 AM to 08 PM

• Saturday            -- 08 AM to 04 PM

2) Collection:

Books             -        The library has a collection of all the subjects of Medical and Dental Books. Number of books in the library:

•Titles -    546

•Copies -  2621

Journals -        27 journals (As per DCI recommendation)

Magazines -     06 Magazines subscribed

5)General Rules:

Personal books, files, folders are not allowed in the reference section.

               Make entry in the library register while entering and leaving the library.

Using of cell phone, head phone inside the library is totally prohibited.

Maintaining silence in the library is mandatory.

            Fine on late returns on books will be charged by the user. 1-10 days – Rs. 2 per day, after    

              10 days- Rs. 5 per day.
