DEAN’S MESSAGE

The ESIC Dental College & Hospital at Rohini, Delhi was established in the year 2010 and launched ESI Corporation’s foray into dental and medical education. Since its establishment, ESIC Dental College, Rohini has undergone a metamorphosis and today provides world-class dental health care services and quality medical education and research. The institute currently has an annual intake of up to 62 students who are admitted for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course, affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and strictly adheres to the course structure prescribed by the Dental Council of India.

The past year was a landmark one for the institute, marking its foray into Post Graduate dental education with the ESIC Headquarter’s sanctioning 3 MDS seats in the subject of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Processes are on to begin with MDS in the prescribed subject in the following academic year. Permission has also been given for the establishment of a new state of the art ESIC Dental College building at the ESIC, Basaidarapur premises which will help in providing more enhanced treatment to the IPs with the possibility of beginning with MDS in all dental specialties. Many of our students achieved top ranks in the NEET AIIMS-INICET MDS Entrance Examinations.

The Graduation Day Ceremony for BDS batch 2015 &2016 was presided over by Sh. Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Minister of Labour & Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change as the Chief Guest and Sh. Rameshwar Teli, MoS, Labour & Employment as the Guest of Honour, among other dignitaries. Another feather in the cap was the esteemed presence of Director General, ESIC at the ESIC Dental College campus, when he graced the Inaugural Ceremony of the Cultural & Sports Extravaganza, ECHOES 2023 as the Chief Guest.

We at ESIC Dental College strongly adhere to ESIC’s motto of Our IP (Insured Person) is VIP (Very Important Person) and believe that as the providers of dental education, we have a responsibility towards our society to make them aware regarding their oral health needs. We are continuously striving to develop our college into an institute of global excellence and repute and are committed to excellence in education, patient care, research and community service in a congenial learning environment.
